Short answer

Ohio clay soil can hold water, compact easily, and stress the wrong plants. Better plant choices depend on sun, drainage, mature size, and maintenance expectations.

Online ranges are usually too broad because local soil, access, grade, drainage, materials, and property condition matter. Terramorph uses a real property review to turn broad ranges into a practical next step.

Why does clay soil matter?Clay can stay wet, compact, and drain slowly, so plant selection and bed preparation matter more than just picking what looks good.

Can wet-yard planting replace drainage?Sometimes plants help, but persistent standing water usually needs grade, routing, or drainage review too.

Can Terramorph recommend plants?Yes. Terramorph reviews sun, soil, water, house style, and maintenance goals before recommending plantings.
